Last Day Letter & Pictures

To my Students:
I want to thank you for a wonderful school year.  It has been my pleasure to have each and every one of you in my room.  At some point in the year, you have each challenged my to be a better teacher.  In return, I have challenged you to always give your best.  I am so very proud of all the hard work that you have completed and the accomplishments you have made.  I think back to all our testing, NWEA, SBAC, DIBELs, etc and am extremely proud.  Each and every time I asked you to do something, you would respond with “Sure Mrs. Coulon”.  For that, I say Thank You.

To their Parents:
I want to thank you for all your continued support throughout the school year. I appreciate the communication and updates on your child as the year went on.  I always knew that if something came up, you would be there to help.  Thank you for letting me be your child’s teacher and allowing me to be apart of their lives.  It has been my pleasure to say that I was their teacher.

With this in mind, I sit back and reflect on my students.  I have completed a certificate for each student with a memory of them.  I want to share these memories with you.  Please enjoy….

Nathaniel - You are my responsible student.  I always knew that you would be doing the right thing.
Miles - You are my reader.  I knew that I could find you with your nose in a book.
Ava - You are my runner.  Through coaching you in Girls on the Run, I have found out that you are very fast and try as I might, I was NOT going to beat you.
Logan - My time keeper… I knew that if I told you that we would be doing something at a certain time, that you would remind me.
Jaylin - I have a question for you.. “What if I see you in the hallway next year, will you say hello?”  You will always be my “What if” student.
Kaylee - Can I help you?  I always knew if I needed something done, that you were the student to ask.  You are my helper.
Laci - Chair, what is that.  You loved to stand, however, whenever I looked up you would always be doing a dance move.  You are my dancer.
Lukas - Games, games, games.  Whenever there was a party, you always wanted a Device Party.  You are my gamer.
Bri - My forever Gadget Girl.  If there was a toy, you would love to play with it.
Alex - My DI (Destination Imagination) Girl.  You have a great imagination.  I look forward to seeing your projects in the future.
Addie - My Little Organizer - Whenever there was something out of place, I would always see you go fix it.  I rarely had to ask.  I appreciate all your kindness.
Alyssa - My Forever Addition - You may not have started the school year with us, BUT you blended right in and are an important part of the classroom.
Kate - My Kid Making a Difference - You have a great heart and should know that you have made a difference in our classroom
Quintin - You will always be my Challenger.  You were never willing to just let an answer be.  You loved to question and understand the “WHY”.  Don’t ever stop asking “WHY”.
Seth - You are my heater.  If I was every cold, you would always tell me not to worry and give me a hug.
Luke - My “Worker with Hands”.  You are going to do great things.  Seeing you in DI (Destination Imagination), Boy Scouts, and Legos, makes me excited for what is to come for you.
Tobi - You are my quiet student.  However, when I would sat back and watched, I saw you blossom into a student who would speak out and challenge herself.
Jack - You are my peer leader.  The students would always look to you when faced with a challenge. Keep looking for that next challenge.
Christopher - You are my jokester.  You loved to tell a joke or pull a prank on a student or me.  To see you laugh after was always a highlight of my day.
Ms. Lise - You are my cleaner and friend.  Thank you for always being someone to talk to and count on for support.

I wish everyone a wonderful summer.  Be sure to come back and visit me next year.  My door is always open to my former students.

Your 3rd Grade Teacher,
Mrs. Coulon
